Effective July 13, 2026
By creating an account or using Slead (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you are using Slead on behalf of a law firm or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Slead is a document automation platform. It enables lawyers to upload Word templates, fill placeholders with client data, and generate, send, and manage legal documents. Slead is a productivity tool — it does not provide legal advice, and nothing generated by the Service constitutes legal advice.
You agree not to:
Slead uses AI to assist with document drafting. AI-generated content may contain errors. You are solely responsible for reviewing all output before use. Slead makes no warranty that AI suggestions are accurate, complete, or legally correct. Do not rely on AI output without independent verification.
You retain ownership of all templates, documents, and data you upload or create using the Service. You grant Slead a limited licence to store and process that content solely to provide the Service. We do not claim any ownership over your work product.
We treat your document content, client names, and matter data as confidential. We do not access your documents except as required to provide technical support (with your explicit permission) or as required by law.
The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or fitness for any particular legal purpose. Slead is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Slead's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including lost profits, lost data, or malpractice claims arising from your use of AI-generated output.
You may cancel your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Slead is incorporated. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of that jurisdiction, at our election.
We may update these Terms with 14 days' notice via email or in-app notice. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
