1. Who we are

Slead (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates slead.space, a legal document automation platform for solo and small-firm lawyers.

2. What we collect

• Account data: name, email address, and password hash when you sign up.
• Document data: templates you upload and documents you generate, including any client names or matter details you enter into fields.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and error logs — collected to improve the product.
• Payment data: processed entirely by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID; we never see or store raw card numbers.

3. How we use your data

• To provide and operate the Slead service.
• To send transactional emails (document signatures, expiry reminders, account alerts).
• To improve product features based on aggregate usage patterns.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your documents or client data to train AI models.

4. AI processing

When you use AI features, field values and document content are sent to a third-party AI provider solely to fulfill your request. This data is processed transiently and is not retained by the provider or used to train models. No document content is logged beyond what is necessary to return a result.

5. Data sharing

We share data only with:

• Infrastructure providers (Neon, Cloudflare, Vercel) to host and serve the product.
• Stripe for payment processing.
• Resend for transactional email delivery.
• AI providers for on-request inference only, as described above.
• Law enforcement when required by applicable law.

6. Data retention

We retain your account and document data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard settings, which permanently deletes all associated data within 30 days.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to essential personnel. We conduct regular security reviews.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.

9. Cookies

We use only essential session cookies required to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Changes

Material changes to this policy will be communicated by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
